Prize Details | This prize is an all inclusive stay for four people at the fabulous Chaudiere Lodge on the legendary Upper French River in Toronto, Canada.
Chaudiere Lodge is the only Five-Star lodge on the Upper French River.
Fourteen cottages are set on a striking seventeen acre island resort. Chaudiere was awarded the RCI Resort of International Distinction from 2000 through 2005 and received the Silver Crown Resort designation in 2005.
Prize includes three meals per day, boat, motor, gas, bait and a day with a guide.
Booking is subject to availability and must start or end on a Saturday.
With Northern Pike, Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass, Walleye and Muskie so big they eat baby ducks, this isn't fishing off a bridge.

Hints |
- The Land Rover Great Divide Expedition took 11 days to make the same route, but only for the state of Colorado. That expedition was headed by expert Tom Collins.
- The stated goal for Expedition Cure is 21 days.
- National Geographic TOPO! software says the plotted route is 3,332.99 miles. That's 158.71 miles per day for 21 straight days.
- They expect to drive 8 hours per day.
- They estimate 90 minutes to change a tire based on time motion studies of them changing a light bulb.
- Hanley has relatives in Telluride.
- There's an Allman Brothers concert in Red Rocks.
- If they leave on August 24th, 21 days would put their arrival on September 14th in Antelope Wells, New Mexico.
|
Rules | The prize is awarded for the actual arrival time in Antelope Wells, NM which is at the Mexican border (per the route).
Hanley and Brent will make the best time they can, but breakdowns, emergency room visits and such are not factored into the actual arrival time. In simplest terms, they get there when they get there.
Besides, you can't drive from Canada all the way to Mexico without having to slow down for whatever wildlife you find along the way. :) |
